Background
This presolicitation is for the demolition of Building 9118 at Dyess Air Force Base (Dyess AFB), Texas. The agency's mission includes maintaining and managing facilities to support military operations. The goal of this contract is to safely demolish the building, which has a total square footage of approximately 1,729 square feet, while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the complete demolition of Building 9118, which encompasses the removal of concrete slabs and foundations to a depth of three feet below existing grade elevation. The demolition will also involve the removal of sidewalks, drives, utilities, select fill, tops of structural concrete piers and pier caps, steel reinforcing, wood framing, gypsum board, masonry, transite panels, doors, frames, windows, caulking, gypsum and lay-in ceilings/grid, floors (carpet and tile), plumbing lines and fixtures, accessories, furniture, insulation (wood and metal framing), HVAC units (ducting and registers), piping (pumps), electrical panels (conduit and wiring), lighting fixtures (transformers), gas lines and meters, roofing materials (flashing), etc. The contractor must verify all existing conditions at the site prior to bidding and follow all requirements as indicated in the attached contract drawings and specifications. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary demolition services including layout, survey work, labor supervision, quality control measures, materials procurement, equipment provision (machines and tools), shoring methods, fencing installation for safety purposes, and other incidentals related to the demolition process. Safety protocols must comply with OSHA guidelines throughout the duration of construction. Additionally, all asbestos must be removed from Building 9118 in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations prior to demolition.

The construction projects will be performed at Dyess Air Force Base located in Abilene, Texas.
