Deionized water system maintenance

Background
NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Deionized water system maintenance. The contract will be issued to CRH INDUSTRIAL WATER LLC, which has been determined to be the sole provider for this service. NASA/NSSC will act as the procuring center for this effort, with performance taking place at NASA/Glenn Research Center (GRC).

The mission of the Smart Sensing and Electronics System branch at NASA GRC is to develop silicon carbide (SiC) integrated circuits (ICs) and sensors for aerospace applications.

Work Details
The maintenance contract for the Deionized water system includes the following tasks:

- Replace (1) 20” 5-micron (BB) Pre-filter cartridge every three months;
- Replace (5) 20” 5-micron Pre-filters every three months;
- Replace (1) 20” 1-micron Pre-filter every three months;
- Replace (1) 3.6 Cu. Ft. Activated Carbon tank lead/lag once every six months;
- Replace (12) 3.6 Cu. Ft. Mixed bed Deionizer Tanks each year, with any exceeded tanks billed separately;
- Provide and install (8) UV TOC lamps once every year;
- Provide and install (2) UV Gold S UV lamps once every year;
- Provide and install (10) UV Sleeves once every other year;
- Replace (6) 40” 0.2 micron (222)-W/Fin Post-filter cartridges every six months;
- Replace (1) 20” 0.2 micron (222) Post-Filter every six months;
- Replace (1) 20” 0.2 micron (DOE) Post-filter cartridge every six months;
- Take (2) Bacteria samples and report results each month;
- Sanitize the system once a year.

An in-house facility to regenerate the mixed bed tanks is required.

Period of Performance
