Defense Enterprise and Accounting Management System Functional Management Office Support

Background
The Defense Enterprise and Accounting Management System (DEAMS) is a Business Capability Acquisition Category (BCAT) 1 program for the United States Air Force (USAF) with an estimated value of $51,578,711.40. DEAMS aims to replace the Air Force’s legacy accounting and financial systems by applying DoD mandated policies and processes to a commercially supported software solution. It will support all Air Force Commands and Unified Commands where the Air Force is the executive agent, serving as a critical enabler of all Air Force business system modernization programs and the foundation for sustaining financial statement auditability across the DoD.

Work Details
The DEAMS Functional Management Office (FMO) will provide training to new and existing users, support agile backlog management, agile software development, acceptance testing for new functionality, and mitigate defects from previous software releases. Additionally, it will serve as the DEAMS program audit focal point by tracking responses, preparing documentation, implementing a control environment to support system and financial statement audits.

The Air Force Accounting Operations Center (AFAOC) will be the central hub for all DEAMS field and operational support questions, incident management, systems operations and management, performance analysis, problem resolution, customer support, compliance, and sustainment education/training for DEAMS.

Period of Performance
The anticipated award is for a one-year contract length with a period of performance from March 1, 2023 through February 28, 2024.

Place of Performance
The DEAMS application is deployed to 17,000 users at all 170 Air Force (Active Duty, Reserve, and Air National Guard) and Space Force installations and five DFAS field sites.
