Background
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's (DARPA) mission is to maintain technological superiority over adversaries by transforming revolutionary concepts into practical capabilities for the military and civilian society. This Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) is solicited by DARPA Commercial Strategy within the Director’s Office initiative, which includes the Embedded Entrepreneurship Initiative (EEI). DARPA seeks to close military and civilian capability gaps with commercial solutions derived from the Agency's R&D programs. Proposals are solicited for transitioning innovative solutions derived from DARPA R&D-funded technologies into capabilities that fulfill requirements, close capability gaps, or provide new technological advancements.

Work Details
The tasks under this contract include:
- Identifying qualified individuals to lead the execution of tasks and engage as Embedded Entrepreneurs
- Defining and validating the commercial and government opportunities
- Performing a competitive analysis
- Developing/executing a commercialization strategy
- Identifying features and functionality demanded by customers for the commercial solution
- Developing/executing a financing/investor engagement plan
- Developing/executing an intellectual property/freedom to operate plan
- Completing a Techno-Economic Analysis
- Developing/executing a plan for dual-use markets
- Developing/executing a regulatory plan
- Developing/executing a manufacturing scale-up plan
- Developing/executing a marketing strategy
- Developing/executing a reimbursement strategy
- Specifying any tasks/subtasks that involve human subjects research or animal research or involve the collection, retention, or use of personally identifiable information or be performed on campus at a university or be performed by a sub-awardee or consultant or be classified as controlled unclassified information (CUI)
- Providing a deliverable payment schedule table
- Identifying the support or equipment required from the government
- Providing tables of intellectual property being delivered to with restrictions and their intended use in the conduct of the research along with key personnel qualifications.

Period of Performance
