Deep Thoughts Industry Day

Background
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Tactical Technology Office (TTO) is sponsoring an in-person Industry Day to support the DARPA Program Solicitation for Deep Thoughts. The event aims to engage the science and technology community, including industry, academia, and government, to introduce the program's vision and goals, facilitate interaction among participants, and promote collaboration among organizations with relevant expertise.

Work Details
The Industry Day will include overview presentations by government personnel and opportunities for collaboration and networking. The event will be organized into two primary sessions: a morning session focused on Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and an optional afternoon session at the SECRET level.

Key goals include:
1. Introducing the S&T community to the Deep Thoughts program vision;
2. Facilitating interaction relevant to program goals;
3. Explaining DARPA program mechanics;
4. Promoting collaboration among organizations;
5. Collecting questions for a Q&A document.

The Deep Thoughts program seeks to develop novel small autonomous undersea vehicles (AUVs) that are quick to design, produce, integrate, and test, leveraging advancements in materials and manufacturing technologies.

Period of Performance
The planned program structure includes milestone payments over a 24-month period of performance.
