Description

This project involves Survey/Debris Removal of three survey, and three debris vessels used to support the Baltimore Districts Navigation mission. The Corps operate and maintain these vessels in the Baltimore Harbor, Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries, Washington Harbor, Anacostia and Potomac River. Fort McHenry and Potomac Drift facilities include survey boats, debris boats, barges, cranes and hydrographic survey equipment.
Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Baltimore District is considering a requirement for Debris Removal Services to keep federal navigable channels free of navigational hazards. This service involves the removal of daily collected channel debris from the Baltimore Harbor and the Ft McHenry Drift site. The jobsite is located within a 50-mile radius of the Baltimore District, Ft McHenry 2611 Leahy St Baltimore MD, 21230.

Work Details
The project involves Survey/Debris Removal using three survey and three debris vessels operated and maintained by the Corps in the Baltimore Harbor, Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries, Washington Harbor, Anacostia, and Potomac River. The contractor must exchange a full 20-yard bin of debris for an empty one within 2 hours if requested. The work is routine and requires access to equipment for hauling, removal, and exchanging the bins at a certified dump site. Contractors must have proper credentials for debris removal and comply with several requirements including proximity to the job site (within a 50-mile radius), experience in debris removal, licensing to transit debris through Baltimore, possession of two twenty-yard bins for daily placement at the Baltimore Harbor Drift site, and information about their dump site credentials.

Period of Performance
The duration is estimated to be base plus 4 option years.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed within a 50-mile radius of the Baltimore District.
