Ddsi Oxygen Special Packaging Instructions (Spi) Containers

Background
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution is issuing this solicitation for the procurement of DDSI Oxygen Special Packaging Instructions (SPI) containers. The goal of this contract is to establish a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order for the delivery of specialized containers designed to meet stringent packaging requirements for aircraft oxygen cylinders. This acquisition is set as a 100% Small Business Set-aside, aimed at supporting small businesses in fulfilling government contracts.

Work Details
The contract requires the delivery of 20 kits of DDSI Oxygen Special Packaging Instructions (SPI) containers. Each container must be constructed to meet SPI NO.01-417-5295 specifications and must be extremely durable, lightweight, and sized to package NSN 1660-01-417-5292 (Aircraft Oxygen Cylinder). The dimensions must be no smaller than 41.75"x14"x14" OD and weigh no more than 60 lbs. The boxes must pass ATA 300 Cat 1 requirements and comply with flame and heat penetration standards set forth in 49 CFR 173.168.

Key specifications include:
- Exterior: All-aluminum reinforced with at least 1,000 industrial-grade rivets.
- Features: Ball corners, high-quality latches, hinges, and handles.
- Labels: All required container labels, DG labels, and Airline Markings must be present on each container.
- Design: Each container must include a removable cradle for valve assembly protection and be designed to fit 10 units on a USAF 463L pallet.
