DDG 124 and DDG 127 Post Shakedown Availabilities at Norfolk   3

Background
The Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA) is issuing this solicitation for the Post Shakedown Availabilities (PSAs) of DDG 51 Class Ships, specifically targeting DDG 124 (HARVEY BARNUM JR.) and DDG 127 (PATRICK GALLAGHER). The contract aims to ensure the successful execution of PSAs at the homeport of Norfolk, VA, which includes addressing trial deficiencies, completing new work, and incorporating approved engineering changes.

Work Details
The contract involves providing engineering, management, planning, labor, and materials necessary for the PSAs. Key deliverables include:
- PSA for HARVEY BARNUM JR. (DDG 124): 200,000 hours of labor under a Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF) structure.
- Option PSA for PATRICK GALLAGHER (DDG 127): also 200,000 hours under CPAF.
- Data deliverables as specified in the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL), not separately priced but included in the pricing of Items 0001 and 0101.

The work encompasses:
1. Management and planning efforts to support PSA execution.
2. Development of key event schedules for Combat System testing.
3. Attendance at various meetings including PSA Planning Conferences and daily production meetings.
4. Maintenance of central files with real-time access to generated data.
5. Compliance with NAVSEA Standard Items and safety manuals during all operations.

Period of Performance
The estimated period of performance is approximately 16 weeks (121 calendar days), starting from the commencement of the PSA.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the homeport of Norfolk, Virginia.
