VA Long Beach Real Time Location System - Asst Tracking

Background
The VA Long Beach Healthcare System (VALBHS) is seeking services for the implementation of a Real Time Location System (RTLS) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Asset Tracking solution. This initiative aims to enhance clinical and administrative workflows, improve patient care quality, reduce asset management costs, and enhance safety for both employees and patients.

The RTLS technology is already deployed in over 225 VA medical centers, utilizing CenTrak and Infor Location-Based Intelligence (LBI) software for effective asset tracking.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, supplies, parts, batteries, software, tools, equipment, testing equipment, travel expenses, and other related costs to complete the implementation of the RTLS system at VALBHS. Key tasks include:
- Installation of CenTrak and Infor LBI-based Asset Tracking hardware and software.
- Conducting end-user acceptance testing.
- Providing training for authorized users.
- Offering warranty services and professional engineering services.
- Completing the implementation of an already started system and expanding the current inactive system at VALBHS.
- Ensuring communication with Biomedical Engineering for scheduling installations and inspections.
- Updating any outdated hardware to ensure functional asset tracking while obtaining approval from Biomedical Engineering for any parts replaced.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is set for 12 months from the date of award.

Place of Performance
All tasks will be performed at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System main campus located at 5901 E 7th St. Long Beach, CA 90822.
