Background
The Davidson River Campground Reconstruction project is initiated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, specifically the U.S. Forest Service, with the aim of enhancing facilities at the Davidson River Campground located in Pisgah National Forest, Transylvania County, North Carolina.

The project seeks to demolish existing structures and utilities while constructing new bathhouses and upgrading essential services to improve visitor experience and operational efficiency.

Work Details
The scope of work includes: demolition of 11 existing bathhouses; site preparation and earthwork; landscaping; demolition, repair, and construction of water, wastewater, and electrical utilities; construction of 10 new bathhouses; asphalt concrete paving; and associated improvements.

- Rough carpentry, nail laminated timber, sheathing, and exterior finish carpentry as per Division 06.
- Thermal and moisture protection measures including waterproofing, insulation, weather barriers, roofing systems as per Division 07.
- Openings including doors and glazing as per Division 08.
- Interior finishes including ceramic tiling and painting as per Division 09.
- Plumbing specialties and fixtures installation as per Division 22.
- Mechanical systems installation including HVAC as per Division 23.
- Electrical provisions including underground service as per Division 26.
- Earthwork activities such as site clearing, excavation, trenching, backfilling as per Division 31.
- Exterior improvements including asphalt paving and landscaping as per Division 32.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed and is expected to conclude no later than May 31, 2026. The campground will be closed to the public from November 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026 for contractor use.

Place of Performance
Davidson River Campground located at 1600 Pisgah Hwy, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768 within Pisgah National Forest.
