Data Concentrator Unit Refresh (DCU-R)

Background
The Technology Application Program Office (TAPO) is conducting market research in support of the requirement described in this announcement. The objective of this market research is to identify potential sources and if there are small business sources capable of performing the requirement. The information received will be used for acquisition planning purposes. Source responses will assist in the development of its acquisition strategy for a possible Request for Proposal (RFP), to be issued at a later date or whether full and open competitive procedures should be utilized. This notice shall not be construed as an RFP or as any commitment or obligation on the part of the agency to issue a solicitation. The agency does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request, so proposals will not be considered. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. Response is strictly voluntary - it is not mandatory to submit a response to this notice to participate in any formal RFP process that may take place in the future. However, it should be noted that information gathered through this notice may significantly influence the agency's acquisition strategy.

Work Details
The Technology Application Contracting Office (TAKO) anticipates contracting without providing for full and open competition under the authority of 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements to procure life cycle sustainment and engineering support to perform Data Concentrator Unit Refresh (DCU-R) hardware and software modifications, testing, integration, and purchase retrofit and production DCU-R units (P/N 5561000-001/5561000-002) as needed for an increase in aircraft quantities or replacement hardware.
