Background
The Department of the Air Force (DAF) is focused on transforming its operations to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and lethality. To achieve this, the DAF is seeking industry partnerships through task orders under the DAF Strategic Transformation Support IDIQ contract (DAFSTS II). The current management process for this contract is labor-intensive and lacks automation, leading to inefficiencies and frustration among stakeholders.

The goal of this project is to develop an Automation Tool that streamlines the execution of DAFSTS II task orders, reduces administrative costs, and accelerates the delivery of critical capabilities.

Work Details
The contractor will design, develop, test, implement, and deliver a DAFSTS II Automation Tool (DAT) that will facilitate workflows, document development, and reporting currently managed through various disconnected tools. Key tasks include:
1. Reducing administrative man-hours for managing DAFSTS II Task Order Life Cycle;
2. Eliminating multiple disconnected spreadsheets and improving reporting quality;
3. Creating a trusted data source for all information related to DAFSTS II contracts;
4. Automating workflows to minimize manual effort;
5. Tracking contractor performance efficiently;
6. Enabling collaboration through a single platform for all stakeholders;
7. Providing user-friendly training materials embedded within the tool;
8. Conducting contractor testing prior to government acceptance testing;
9. Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Post Release Testing;
10. Preparing a Master Release Plan documenting software deployment sprints.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a maximum period of 18 months, including a base period of six months for Minimum Viable Product delivery followed by two optional six-month periods for execution and evaluation.

Place of Performance
Work will primarily be performed remotely or at contractor facilities with potential travel required to government locations in the Washington DC area.
