Vocera/Engage - Ascom Nurse Call Integration   2

Background
The William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, part of the Department of Veterans Affairs, is seeking a contractor to integrate the existing Ascom Telligence (Tellurgy) Nurse Call system with the Vocera communication platform. This integration aims to enhance communication and workflow efficiency within the healthcare facility, aligning with the agency's mission to provide high-quality care to veterans.

Work Details
The project involves several key tasks:

1. System design and procurement of necessary hardware, software, and licenses for integration.

2. Establishing a seamless connection between the Ascom Telligence Nurse Call system and the Vocera communication platform.

3. Configuring alarm/notifications for two-way communication between patients and caregivers via Vocera badges.

4. Conducting workflow design sessions to develop integrated clinical designs specifying alarms/notifications routing and escalation procedures.

5. Providing all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, lodging, and supervision necessary for integration.

6. Collaborating with Tellurgy representatives to configure data output connections and enable functionalities such as nurse call system callbacks.

7. Conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in a controlled environment prior to go-live.

8. Offering training and go-live support for nursing staff, along with follow-on clinical and technical training for a period of 12 months post-integration.

Period of Performance
The implementation and installation are scheduled to begin within 30 days of contract award, with a base period running from June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital located at 2500 Overlook Terrace, Madison WI 53705.
