The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Medical Centers (VAMC) located within VISN 4 have a requirement for maintenance and upgrade services provided on Biopoint Patient ID Software. VISN 4 consists of (9) facilities in Altoona, Butler, Coatesville, Erie, Lebanon, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Wilkes-Barre, and Wilmington. The Statement of Work (SOW) is provided. Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Centers (VAMC) located within VISN 4 require maintenance and upgrade services for Biopoint Patient ID Software. This initiative aims to enhance patient safety by providing caregivers with the necessary tools to ensure proper patient identification, which is critical in preventing medical errors. The contract is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) on a brand name basis, specifically for Advarra.

Work Details
The contractor will provide maintenance and upgrade services for the Biopoint Patient ID Software, which includes:
- Technical support for software modifications to update patient wristbands as new safety conditions arise.
- Assistance in expanding barcode technology into other patient care areas.
- Configuration and deployment of the Biopoint application, including database setup and facility-specific deployment packages.
- Onsite deployment assistance and end-user training.
- Annual technical support including software upgrades, patches, and user documentation updates.
- Emergency database restoration within one business day in case of server or workstation failure.
- Support must be available Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST, excluding federal holidays.

Period of Performance
The estimated period of performance is from August 16, 2025, to August 15, 2030, with options for four additional one-year periods.

The services will be performed at various locations within VISN 4, including facilities in Altoona, Butler, Coatesville, Erie, Lebanon, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Wilkes-Barre, and Wilmington.
