Ambient Scribe Enterprise IDIQ (VA-26-00012979)

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is seeking to enhance healthcare services for over 9 million Veterans through the implementation of an Ambient Scribe solution. This initiative aims to address the increasing demand for veteran patient care and reduce the cognitive burden on healthcare providers, which can negatively impact patient care and contribute to provider burnout. The contract is intended to provide a Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS), cloud-based ambient scribe solution that utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) to transcribe clinical encounters and generate notes, thereby improving the efficiency of medical care.

Work Details
The contractor will deliver an Ambient Scribe solution that includes:
- Transcription and Note Generation: Automatically extract transcripts and key details from ambient recordings of patient encounters, creating high-fidelity medical records.
- Interoperability and Integration: Seamlessly integrate with existing VA health system information technologies, particularly Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- AI functionalities: Utilize machine learning and natural language processing to summarize clinical content and produce transcribed notes documenting visits.
- Compliance with various federal regulations including security standards and privacy laws.
- Provision of software maintenance, technical support, and updates as necessary. The contractor must not engage with sites involved in implementation without prior authorization from the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).

Period of Performance
The ordering period for this Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract shall be 5 years following the date of award.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at VA locations within the continental United States (CONUS) and/or outside the continental United States (OCONUS) as specified in individual Task Orders.
