Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) intends to contract with BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Services Inc. (BAE Systems) of Rockville, MD to provide Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) support services and special studies in support of the United States TRIDENT II (D5) Strategic weapons System (SWS) Program D5 Life Extension 2 (D5LE2) Strategic Systems Program Alteration (SPALT). The contractor will provide SSP with services for the technical planning, requirements management, and integration of subsystems including interface with the COLUMBIA Common Missile Compartment (CMC); Data Management and Configuration Management; SWS System Security Engineering; SWS Safety Engineering support, including nuclear weapons safety; and SSP Infrastructure Operations, Model Based Engineering (MBE) and Information Systems (IS) Program Acquisition engineering support services.

The period of performance will be from 01 October 2024 to 30 September 2025, with two, one year options with a total period of performance from 01 October 2024 to 30 September 2027. It will also include provisions that would allow for level of effort increases up to 30%. Award will be made using other than full and open competition to BAE Systems of Rockville, MD, the only source with unique facilities and personnel expertise required for this program. No Solicitation package is available.

This NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS.

The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses must be received within fifteen days from the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
