Background
The Department of Energy's Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) is seeking to renew its subscription for software services provided by MCG Energy Solutions, LLC. WAPA has been utilizing MCG's products for over 20 years to support its mission in electric energy marketing and management. This acquisition is classified as a sole-source procurement under GSA’s Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) program, specifically targeting MCG's unique software solutions that are deeply integrated into WAPA's operations.

Work Details
The contract encompasses the renewal of various software modules and services essential for WAPA's operations, including:

1. Integrated Asset Manager (IAM): A 12-month subscription that facilitates bid capture, physical scheduling, ISO market submissions, asset management, market clearing, real-time scheduling, performance reporting, and settlements. It includes Shadow Settlement and Energy Imbalance Market (EIM) functionality.

2. Energy Accounting System (EAS): A 12-month subscription that manages time-series data and validates key calculations related to load and imbalance while generating official profiles based on validated meter data.

3. Hosted Data Service (HDS): A 12-month subscription that archives data from all MCG products with full search and reporting capabilities.

4. Control Area Scheduling (CAS): A tool for comprehensive interchange and transmission scheduling integrated with tagging interfaces.

5. VPN connections: Various modules providing secure business-to-business connections between MCG’s datacenter and WAPA locations to meet FedRAMP requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract will be executed over a period of 12 months for most subscriptions, with some specific services extending for shorter durations as indicated.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed remotely via internet access from MCG’s production datacenter to WAPA’s operational sites located in Colorado.
