Synopsis for Request for Quote for 36C10B19Q0570 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Procurement, Acquisition and Logistics, Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey, intends to issue a solicitation and enter into contract on a sole source basis for maintenance, additional licenses, and development support services for an existing Graphical User Interface (GUI) Solution. The TAC intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed Price Task Order to Document Storage Systems (DSS) located at 12575 US Highway One, Suite 200, Juno Beach, Florida 33408 which has a requirement for Prosthetics and Logistics GUI, software, and support. The Statutory Authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 8.405-6(b), Items peculiar to one manufacturer. An item peculiar to one manufacturer can be a particular brand name, product, or a feature of a product, peculiar to one manufacturer). A brand name item, whether available on one or more schedule contracts, is an item peculiar to one manufacturer. The estimated date of award for this action is October 1, 2019. The proposed Period of Performance shall be October 1, 2019 through March 31, 2020 followed by three (3) consecutive 12-month option periods, if exercised. The Optional Tasks shall follow the same period of performance and shall not extend past the Ultimate Completion date of the Task Order. Commercial acquisition procedures will be used. The primary North American Industry Classification System code is 541511 size standard of $27.5M. This notification shall close on September 6, 2019 at 10AM ET.
