Background

Work Details
The contractor will provide services under an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a five-year ordering period. The tasks include:
1. Optimizing current ShakeAlert cloud operations focusing on resource allocation and efficiency.
2. Designing and implementing an automated pipeline for System Testing and Performance (STP) cloud operations.
3. Writing scripts for automatic downloading of log files post-testing.
4. Developing automated analyses of STP logs and integrating them into a global program.
5. Improving database interactions and creating indexes for frequently queried data.
6. Leading the development of a backup system for the ShakeAlert Database System and implementing storage upgrades.
7. Testing and replacing the current messaging system with an optimal solution while automating security measures.
8. Conducting code reviews on existing algorithms to ensure performance improvements.

Period of Performance
The period of performance spans from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2030, divided into five one-year segments.

Place of Performance
The work will primarily be performed in Sacramento, California, where the USGS OAG Sacramento Acquisition Branch is located.
