The REIMS/FAAST is a total equipment management and redistribution tool that provides asset visibility and automated generation/distribution of lateral transfer and turn-in directives with supporting documentation. REIMS/FAAST provides the ability to track the quantity and dollar value of excess and to, notify units of disposition action. REIMS/FAAST provides near quote mark Real Time quote mark Asset Visibility that can be used from anywhere an Internet connection is available, provides capability to filter and view data by designated Task Force and/or specific operation, and is capable of supporting Joint Operations. FAAST is a flexible tool, allowing new module and reporting incorporation as required by the customer. REIMS/FAAST provides asset managers with a one-stop system that furnishes asset visibility and equipment redistribution capabilities while assisting units at all levels in making accurate and timely equipment redistribution decisions. REIMS/FAAST provides the ability to query the supply and shipment status posted in the property book master files. Input to the system is from various Army data repositories, i.e, LIW, PBUSE, Federal Logistics Data (FEDLOG), Logistics-The Army Authorization Document System (LOGTAADS), SSN-LIN Automated Management and Integrating System (SLAMIS), and Defense Automatic Addressing Systems (DAAS).
