D-B Renovate P-8A Trainer Nordholz Germany

Background
The contract is issued by the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Europe Africa Central (NAVFAC EURAFCENT) for the renovation of the P-8A Trainer located in Nordholz, Germany.

The mission of NAVFAC EURAFCENT is to provide facilities engineering and construction support to the U.S. Navy and other Department of Defense agencies in Europe and Africa. The goal of this contract is to design and renovate specific buildings to support the installation of Boeing’s P-8A training system.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, and applicable safety precautions necessary for the following tasks:
1. Design and renovate Building 9 to support the installation of Boeing’s P-8A training system.
2. Design and renovate rooms 127 and 128 in Building 69 for the same purpose.
3. Replace the existing Building Management System in Buildings 6 & 9.
4. Perform a Structural Investigation Survey of Building 9.
5. Optionally replace the water-cooled chiller system in Building 9.
6. Optionally install humidity equipment in Room 127, Building 69.
7. Optionally replace the Emergency Lighting Central Battery Unit in Building 9.
8. Optionally strengthen the floor in rooms R9.31 & R9.106 to support batteries.
9. Optionally manage and condition water used in cooling systems of Computer Room Air Conditioning units.
10. Optionally replace the F30 steel stair in room R9.33.

This opportunity appears to have a closely related prior contract with AJ Solutions Sh.P.K under N3319124C0016 (award value $1,624,430; 09/18/24–08/19/26), which involved renovating three schools in Montenegro. While the locations and facilities differ from the P-8A trainer renovations at Nordholz, the prior work indicates experience with renovation scope and building upgrades that are similar in nature to designing/renovating specific rooms and systems within existing facilities.
