Description

Background
The contract is issued for the rebuilding of CVI helium compressors and system components, specifically targeting the maintenance and operational efficiency of these critical systems. The agency aims to ensure that the compressors are restored to optimal working condition, thereby supporting their mission in managing helium systems effectively.

Work Details
The Statement of Work includes detailed tasks for compressor and drive head rebuilds as follows:

For the compressor rebuild (#37-2550-04232), the contractor must provide a new compressor, front control panel (for pre-2000 models), pressure gauges, check valve, indicator lights, filters/strainers, electrical panel cooling fan, mechanical and control upgrades, adsorber, buffer tank bypass valve, miscellaneous tubing assemblies and fittings, connector o-ring seals, decontamination (purification) and leak testing. Performance testing and a 12-month warranty are required. All work must be performed by PHPK qualified technicians at the PHPK factory.

For the drive head rebuild (#CGR-511), tasks include replacing bearings and bearing sleeves, shuttle valve set, yoke shaft, cam assembly, motor, all seals, and performing functional testing with a 12-month warranty. Additionally, hoses must be cleaned, refurbished, and sealed per factory specifications. A spare parts list is also included which specifies quantities for various displacer seals and assemblies.

Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail)
This opportunity appears to have a confirmed incumbent based on prior work under contract 80NSSC26P0950 awarded to Kendall Holdings for CVI helium compressor and drive head rebuilds (value $48,612; 07/07/26–08/19/26). The current SOW similarly calls for rebuilding CVI helium compressor components and the drive head, including replacement of key mechanical parts (e.g., bearings/seals and drive head assemblies) and associated testing/warranty requirements, suggesting the effort is a continuation or follow-on of the same type of maintenance and rebuild work.

Please see the attached documents for details.

QUOTES WILL NOT BE REVIEWED OR ACCEPTED. IF YOU FEEL YOUR COMPANY CAN PROVIDE THIS, PROVIDE A CAPABILITY STATEMENT.
