SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy. As a management and operating contractor, subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory are not Federal procurements, and are not directly subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations in 48 CFR. Nonetheless, certain Federal laws, Executive Orders, and regulations may affect our DOE approved purchasing system, as required by statute, regulation, or contract terms and conditions.

- All subcontractors are required to register in the System for Award Management ( www.sam.gov ).
- The resulting purchase order will be issued on a fixed price basis. SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory Terms and Conditions for Fixed Price Commercial Supplies and Services (Rev. August 2023) will be made a part of the resulting order.
- Payment Terms will be NET-30 (SLAC is unable to do advance payments and or Prepayments).

Background
The SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy, issues this solicitation for a custom vacuum chamber. As a management and operating contractor, the subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory are not Federal procurements and are not directly subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations. However, certain Federal laws and regulations may still apply. The goal of this contract is to procure a custom vacuum chamber that meets specific technical requirements.
Work Details
The contractor is required to provide one custom vacuum chamber. The quote must include the following:
1) Price including shipping, duties, and taxes;
2) Lead time including drawing time and shipping;
3) Design compliance;
4) Testing and certification.
The quote is strictly for product only; no on-site services are permitted. Additionally, the contractor must complete and return the attached documents: Buy American Act Certification, Representations & Certifications Rider, and confirm acceptance of SLAC terms.
Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory located in Menlo Park, CA.
