Description

Solicitation for Custom and Standard Encapsulating Suits. Please see attached documents.
Background
The U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) is issuing this solicitation for the procurement of Positive Pressure Encapsulating Suits (PPES).

USAMRIID's mission is to protect the Warfighter from biological threats and prepare for disease outbreaks or public health threats. The contract aims to ensure that USAMRIID, along with its divisions, is supplied with PPES necessary for operations in high containment areas, particularly Biosafety Level-4 (BSL4) environments, where researchers are at risk of exposure to dangerous pathogens.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide a total of 750 Positive Pressure Encapsulating Suits (PPES) under a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The suits must meet the following specifications:
- Must be suitable for use in BSL4 environments.
- Must fit comfortably and allow for custom measurements.
- Must include different sizes and safety boots or booties that are welded and sealed.
- Each suit must have an optical grade clear plastic visor insert and an air distribution system that is rigid.
- All suits must be inspected prior to shipping to ensure they are free from defects.

The delivery will occur at the US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases located at 1425 Porter Street, Fort Detrick, Maryland 21702-5011. The ordering period for this contract is from July 15, 2025, to July 14, 2030.
