Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for custodial services at the Seattle Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). The mission of the VA is to provide high-quality care to veterans, and this contract aims to ensure that the medical center maintains a clean and sanitary environment for both patients and staff. This solicitation is set aside 100% for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing custodial services in non-direct patient areas at the Seattle VAMC. The tasks include:

1. Daily cleaning of floors, restrooms, and common areas.
2. Periodic deep cleaning of carpets and upholstery.
3. Waste management including collection and disposal of trash.
4. Restocking supplies in restrooms and common areas.
5. Compliance with all safety and health regulations.
6. Implementation of a Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) to monitor performance, including periodic inspections and addressing customer complaints.
7. Coordination with VA personnel regarding service schedules, especially during federal holidays or special events.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a base period from September 15, 2025, to September 14, 2026, with four additional option years extending through September 14, 2030.
