Custodial/Janitorial Services Lee Ranger District and North River Ranger District George Washington and Jefferson National Forests, VA   3

Background
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is issuing this solicitation for custodial and janitorial services for the Lee Ranger District Office and North River Ranger District in the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests, Virginia.

The current janitorial contract is in its final option year, expiring on March 31, 2026, necessitating a new contract to commence in April 2026.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, supervision, and transportation necessary for custodial services at designated locations including office spaces, restrooms, work areas, and lobbies. Key tasks include:
- Weekly maintenance of floors (sweeping, mopping) and vacuuming of carpets.
- Cleaning of interior and exterior floor mats.
- Spot cleaning carpets as needed.
- Emptying trash containers and recycling bins.
- General spot cleaning of surfaces including walls, windows, doors, and fixtures.
- The contractor must furnish all necessary cleaning materials and equipment, including bio-based cleaning agents.
- Security protocols must be followed including maintaining a list of employees working on-site and ensuring exterior doors are secured.

Period of Performance
The contract will be awarded for a Base Period with four (4) twelve-month Option Periods starting from April 2026.

Place of Performance
Custodial services will be performed at the Lee Ranger District Office located at 102 Koontz St., Edinburg, VA 22824 and the North River Ranger District office at 401 Oakwood Dr., Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
