Background
This sources sought announcement is issued by the Marine Corps to conduct market research for potential small business sources to provide curtain cleaning and installation services for the Home of the Commandant, a historic residential building at Marine Barracks Washington.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper care and installation of historic curtains as part of ongoing renovations.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, cleaning services, installation accessories, and other necessary items to transport, clean, inspect, and reinstall existing curtains.

Key tasks include:
- Coordinating with the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) for pickup from a designated warehouse;
- Transporting curtains safely;
- Professionally cleaning all curtains using appropriate methods;
- Inspecting curtains for damage prior to cleaning;
- Notifying TPOC of any pre-existing conditions;
- Ensuring curtains are dry before packaging;
- Maintaining identity and location of each curtain throughout the process;
- Installing cleaned curtains in designated locations;
- Verifying existing hardware prior to installation;
- Ensuring professional alignment and arrangement of curtains post-installation;
- Protecting historic property during all activities;
- Conducting final inspections with TPOC upon completion; and
- Removing all debris from work areas.

Period of Performance
The contract work will be performed from the coordination of curtain pickup through professional cleaning completion by March 19, 2027, and installation by April 16, 2027.

Place of Performance
Marine Barracks Washington, 912 Charles Poor St. SE (BLDG 169), Washington Navy Yard, Washington DC 20391.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate experience in handling historic materials and possess necessary licenses or certifications for cleaning and installation services. They must also have the capability to coordinate closely with government personnel (TPOC) throughout the project.

This RFI serves as market research to determine potential small business sources to procure wrapping services for curtain cleaning and installation services. This notice does not constitute a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. Furthermore, we are not, at this time, seeknig quotations; Therefore, DO NOT request a copy of a solicitation or submit a quotation as a result of this notice.
