Background
The Crazy Creek Fence Construction project is issued by the USDA Forest Service, aimed at repairing and reconstructing fencing in the Ochoco National Forest and Crooked River National Grassland.

The goal of this contract is to restore and maintain fence lines that have been damaged, ensuring compliance with specified construction standards and practices.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the following tasks:
1. Replace damaged corners and gates according to contract specifications.
2. Maintain wire spacing as per contract requirements, reusing functional existing t-posts and wire where possible.
3. Replace dead trees along the fence line with new structures or line posts based on spacing requirements.
4. Use drill stem pipe as a substitute for schedule 40 pipe where applicable.
5. Modify fence line typical shown in sheet 3a by removing stays and adjusting maximum spacing of line posts from 16'6" to 12' at contractor's discretion.

The contractor will also provide a technical package with pricing for alternative fence construction methods that align with commercial practices, including a cost breakdown and benefits of the proposed alternative style.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from August 15, 2025, to October 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will take place in the Ochoco National Forest and Crooked River National Grassland, specifically around Prineville, Oregon.
