Background
The 436 Civil Engineer Squadron has issued a contract for the removal and replacement of the damaged Drop Arm at Building 794 - Crash Gate #1. The contractor is required to provide all management, tools, materials, equipment, and labor necessary for the task. The contract also includes specific requirements related to certifications, safety standards, waste disposal, records management, security, and contractor badge policies.

Work Details
The contractor is responsible for removing and replacing the damaged Drop Arm at Building 794 - Crash Gate #1. This includes providing all labor, bearing assemblies, mounting hardware, screws, and any other material required for the task. The contractor must also provide proof of liability insurance on company’s personnel and equipment and ensure that only qualified/certified journeyman mechanics with a minimum of 2 years continuous drop arm repair/replacement experience are employed. Additionally, the contractor must provide the original copy of B&B ARMR Model 773 manual for maintenance purposes.
The work must be performed in strict accordance with OSHA safety standards to eliminate personal injury and damage to equipment and facility infrastructure. The contractor is also responsible for providing all necessary materials for a professionally completed job, including personal protective equipment and cleaning products. They must dispose of all trash and hazardous waste in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Records management requirements include meeting established regulations for creating, handling, and maintaining records for the Air Force. Security provisions outline instructions for employees' behavior on the installation and specify procedures for obtaining contractor badges and accessing the installation. Vehicle passes are required for all contractor and personal vehicles entering Dover AFB.
