REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL SUMMARY

A.1. Description of the Requirement: Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) has a regional requirement for both recurring and non-recurring, performance based, crane inspection, maintenance & certification services, within the Washington Navy Yard (WNY) and various surrounding regional locations throughout the Washington DC Metropolitan area. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, management, tools, materials, equipment, facilities, transportation, incidental engineering, and other items necessary to provide the services.

A.2. Product Service Code / NAICS Code: The applicable Product Service Code is: J036 which is for: Maint/Repair/Rebuild of Equipment Special Industry Machinery services; and: the applicable: North American Industry Classification System Code, is: 811310, which is the code associated with: Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance, whose industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in the repair and maintenance of commercial and industrial machinery and equipment.

A.3. Set-Aside / Competition Strategy: This requirement will be procured as a sole source under authority Article 10 of the United States Code (U.S.C.), Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented at Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subsection 6.302-1, One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.

A.4. Type of Contract / Business Arraignment: A four year, Firm Fixed price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract will be solicited, evaluated and awarded. The proposed Contract Line Item Numbers and their associated Periods of Performance (PoP) are shown below:
