Description

The 48th Medical Support Squadron (USAFE) at RAF Lakenheath, UK, requires a dedicated courier service to
provide daily deliveries between medical functions location at RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall Flight
Medicine Office and Dental Clinics as well as various National Health Service locations as needed. These
courier services support transportation of medical supplies/equipment, medical/dental records, laboratory
specimens, pharmacy prescriptions and other items critical to patient care.

Background
The 48th Medical Support Squadron (USAFE) at RAF Lakenheath, UK, is seeking a dedicated courier service to facilitate daily deliveries between various medical functions located at RAF Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall, including the Flight Medicine Office and Dental Clinics.
This service is essential for transporting medical supplies, equipment, records, laboratory specimens, pharmacy prescriptions, and other critical items necessary for patient care.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a daily courier service that includes:
- Transportation of medical supplies/equipment between RAF Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall.
- Delivery of medical/dental records, laboratory specimens, and pharmacy prescriptions.
- On-call status for 24 hours a day from Monday through Sunday to respond to requests from NHS or private hospitals as instructed by Medical Logistics or laboratory personnel.
- The contractor must ensure that all drivers possess the necessary licensure to transport clinical samples in the UK and have a good driving record.
- A vehicle must be provided that can safely transport the required items and must be registered with RAF transportation units.
- In case of emergencies that prevent the primary courier from operating, a backup capability must be available.
- Documentation validating certification to transport specified items is required.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, with options for additional periods extending through September 30, 2029.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at RAF Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall in the United Kingdom.
