This is a Sources Sought Notice; there is no solicitation available at this time. No response will be provided to requests for solicitation. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS PUBLISHED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. The scope of this Contract is to perform computational analysis support for countering weapons of mass destruction (CWMD). CWMD and specifically AD computations will be the main focus of this effort. Please see attached Sources Sought and Statement of Work for detailed information.

Background
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) assists the Combatant Commanders and Services in protecting themselves against, and executing US policy regarding Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and High Explosives (CBRNE) threats. This assistance includes advanced computational analysis and development of counterforce and defensive planning capabilities through analytical models and software tools.

Work Details
The scope of this effort is to perform computational analysis support for countering weapons of mass destruction (CWMD). Counter-WMD and specifically AD computations will be the main focus of this effort. Computations required to model or simulate the environment created by weapon targeting of WMD (including any CBRNE), WMD release, vaporization and combustion, the effects of WMD on its environment, or any method to deny, disrupt, destroy, or defeat WMD are also within the scope. CWMD support will include assisting in field testing, assisting in systems development, assessing effectiveness of CWMD concepts, assisting in development of fast running tools, and conducting forensic or vulnerability assessments as required.

Period of Performance
Base Period – Advanced Computational Analysis and Model Development (12 month PoP), Option Period 1 – Advanced Computational Analysis and Model Development (12 month PoP)

Place of Performance
Performance will be at the contractor’s facility, with meetings at assorted government and commercial facilities. Travel is expected in support of technical tasks and overall project management.
