Background
The Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) is undertaking a project to convert overhead powerlines to underground systems as part of their renovation efforts in the North Campus area. This initiative aims to enhance the electrical infrastructure by removing existing overhead electrical powerlines and installing new underground ductbanks, switch stations, and transformers. The project encompasses approximately 4000 linear feet of electrical services.

Work Details
The contract includes the following construction tasks:
1. **Demolition**: Site demolition of existing areas, including asphalt patching for N-5th street, C-Road, and G-Road to accommodate proposed concrete encased duct bank alignments.

2. **Excavating**: Excavation work required for the installation of the proposed concrete encased duct bank.

3. **Horizontal Direction Drilling**: Performing horizontal direction drilling as specified in the contract plans.

4. **Electrical Work/Demo**: Removing existing overhead electrical powerlines and installing new underground duct-bank and manholes, Vacuum Fault Interrupter (VFI) units, and select transformers.

5. **Site Work**: Paving, constructing walkways, curbs, and gutters as detailed in the contract specifications.
