Contract Specialist GS-1102-14 Equivalent - Non-personal Services

The Maritime Administration (MARAD) Division of the Atlantic Office (DAO) in Norfolk, VA is seeking one acquisition support personnel to assist with the procurement of supplies and services. The contractor will be responsible for various pre-award and post-award functions, including contractual administration actions, complex procurements, pricing arrangements, auditing or reviewing major acquisitions, and developing procurement processes and systems. The contractor must also have a strong understanding of MARAD's strategic goals and objectives related to acquisition and provide updates to senior leaders. Pre-award support includes assisting with planning, market research, preparing solicitation documents, and supporting evaluation processes. Post-award support includes contract administration, issue resolution, price negotiation, and compliance assessment. The contract will have a one-year base period with four option periods and will be performed at the MARAD DAO Office in Norfolk, VA, with potential telework options.
