Background
The United States Postal Service (USPS) is issuing a solicitation for a Contract Delivery Service (CDS) to provide temporary transportation services in South Lake Tahoe, CA.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing box route service, which includes the following tasks:
1. Daily transportation of mail from South Lake Tahoe, CA to R032, CA, with specific trip schedules including loading/unloading and case handling.
2. The service frequency is daily except Sundays and holidays, with an estimated annual schedule of 15,153.5 miles and 2,606 hours of service.
3. Special rates for extra trips will be $4.00 per mile.
4. The contractor must ensure that all mail is transported securely and efficiently, adhering to the operating schedule and maintaining communication with USPS as necessary.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 20, 2026, and will continue until June 30, 2028.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a completed PS Form 7405 and PS Form 7468A as part of their proposal submission.
Additionally, bidders must demonstrate eligibility to perform all required services for the full term of the contract and provide evidence of past performance on similar contracts.
A subcontracting plan is required if the proposal exceeds $1 million or if subcontractors are utilized.
