Background
The U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou, China, is seeking to address urgent safety concerns related to the façade and roof of the Consulate Office Building (COB), specifically Building B.

The mission of this contract is to provide construction services for interim repairs due to chronic issues with the stone rain-screen-facade system that pose life safety risks. The estimated cost for these repairs is $1.6 million, and the goal is to initiate work before the rainy season in late August 2024.

Work Details
The contract involves construction activities under the Minor Construction and Improvement (MCI) program for interim repairs of the COB Building B Roof and Façade Project.

Key tasks include:
- Addressing compromised stone tiles that have been incorrectly installed (approximately 2500 stones).
- Implementing a unique repair protocol developed by the vendor Huibo.
- Ensuring compliance with requirements set by OBO Roof Program, Special Programs Coordination (SPC), and Design Engineering (DE).
