Description

The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Plains Area, requires the Construction of a Hay Shelter made from shipping containers. The Contractor shall furnish a detailed technical proposal and detailed pricing proposal. The Government intends to award single firm fixed price purchase orders.
The requirements are further detail in the attached Requirements Document.

SITE VISIT
Offerors or quoters are expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. The site visit will be held at the discretion and coordination with below POC and must be completed before May 16th 2024 at 12:00am CT. Coordinating contact is below:

To arrange a site visit, please coordinate with the above POC and with the title 12805B24R0023 Site Visit Registration please include the name of the individual you have attending, along with company information. Site visits are scheduled for either the 17th of May at 10:00 am CT and 2:00 PM CT Contractors must be registered to attend the site visit. If Contractors are not registered, they will not be permitted on the site visit.

Background
The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Plains Area, requires the Construction of a Hay Shelter made from shipping containers. The Contractor shall furnish a detailed technical proposal and detailed pricing proposal. The Government intends to award single firm fixed price purchase orders.

Work Details
The construction project involves the construction of a hay barn using two shipping containers and a roof secured to the top of the containers. The covered area will serve as storage for hay and equipment. Access points require 3 roll-up doors on each container. The work management includes planning, scheduling, cost accounting, report preparation, establishing and maintaining records, and quality control. Materials and equipment may not be stored at the jobsite lay down area after work hours unless approved in advance by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). The Contractor shall provide experienced, qualified, and capable personnel to perform the work in this contract.
