Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District is conducting market research through this Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI) to gauge interest and capabilities of potential contractors for the construction of the Lake Marion Cameron Reach Water Line project.

This project is part of the Lake Marion Regional Water System, which is co-owned and maintained by Santee Cooper and Calhoun County.

Work Details
The contract involves the furnishing, installing, and placing into successful operation approximately 65,000 linear feet (LF) of 12-inch diameter water main pipe and 1,000 LF of 8-inch diameter water main pipe.

The scope includes all associated work such as:
- Installation of pipes, valves, and appurtenances
- Roadway bores
- Horizontally directionally drilled pipe
- Backfill and compaction
- Testing and quality control
- Safety measures.
Additionally, the contractor must coordinate with local utility owners, property owners, Lake Marion Water Treatment Plant personnel, and Calhoun County.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed in the vicinity of Lake Marion Regional Water System, specifically in areas managed by Santee Cooper and Calhoun County.
