Background
The solicitation is for the construction of a Composite Aircraft Support Equipment (ASE) and Vehicle Maintenance (VMXS) Facility at Bradley Air National Guard Base in East Granby, CT. The project involves the demolition of an existing facility and the construction of a new facility to support ASE maintenance and VMXS shop requirements. The current facilities are outdated and do not meet the maintenance needs for K-Loader, De-Icing truck, and C-130 mission equipment. The project is being solicited unrestricted, with a single award contemplated. The Government anticipates funds will become available prior to award as this action has been identified on the National Guard priority list.

Work Details
The work shall consist of constructing a Composite Aircraft Support Equipment (ASE) and Vehicle Maintenance (VM) facility in accordance with project-specific drawings and specifications. This includes all permitting, erosion and sedimentation controls, restoration of disturbed areas, verification of existing utilities, furnishing as-built drawings, and providing a 1-year warranty for all General Contractor work.
Additionally, access and general protection/security policy and procedures are outlined for contractor employees with an area of performance within Government controlled installation, facility, or area. The solicitation also includes instructions for obtaining drawings and specifications, as well as details on the submission requirements and evaluation factors for award.
