Background
The U.S. Army Futures and Concepts Center (FCC) is focused on designing the future force by developing integrated concepts and requirements through experimentation. The goal of the Concept Focused Warfighting Experiment 2026 (CFWE 26) is to enhance warfighting capabilities and drive Army modernization by synchronizing experimentation activities across the Army Futures Command (AFC). This initiative aims to address the complexities of future warfare characterized by advanced command and control systems that enable rapid decision-making in contested environments.

Work Details
The CFWE 26 will explore various technology focus areas including:

1. Analytical Systems: Development of AI/ML capabilities for object recognition, automated battle damage assessment, and data normalization.

2. Model and Simulation: Aerial surveillance platforms for enhanced intelligence analysis, compatible with existing simulations and capable of displaying destructible terrain.

3. Electromagnetic Support: Integration of electromagnetic warfare capabilities with a focus on human-machine interfaces and long-life battery systems.

4. Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems: Systems that detect and neutralize UAV threats with user-friendly setup and operation.

5. Sensor Integration Network: High bandwidth networks for sensor data transmission with ruggedized designs suitable for harsh environments.

6. Information Advantage Overlay: Systems that aggregate data from multiple sources for mission command integration, including social media analytics.

7. Robotics: Robotic platforms for intelligence operations utilizing AI/ML technologies to operate in complex terrains while minimizing human risk.

Period of Performance
The experimentation phases are scheduled from January 20 to February 6, 2026, with planning events occurring throughout 2025 leading up to execution.

Place of Performance
The primary location for the CFWE 26 experiment will be Fort Huachuca.
