Background
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking market feedback and capabilities statements for CART Training. The training is for the Digital Evidence Staffing Education and Development (DESED) Unit, responsible for the program management of Digital Evidence Laboratory (DEL) Training for Digital Forensic Examiners (DFE), and Digital Forensic Specialist (DFS) in the Computer Analysis Response Team (CART) and the sponsored Digital Evidence Extraction Technician (DExT) program. The training provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively use forensic software tools vetted and on the 'approved use' list for digital forensic examiners to use throughout the field.

Work Details
The contract requires custom specialized training to provide CART Basic Tools, Intermediate OS Artifacts, Intermediate Web Artifacts, and an advance training class online for previously certified examiners. The training will include hands-on courses covering various forensic software tools such as FTK Lab, Registry Viewer, FTK Imager, Password Recovery Toolkit, and other custom tools validated by OTD. The contract also includes requirements for a 'dry run' quality review of the course prior to implementation into the student curriculum, sample class module with objectives, and a comprehensive skills exercise where students will demonstrate their new foundational knowledge.
