Comprehensive Medical Services For Adult Incarcerated Individuals in Residential Reentry Centers and on Home Confinement   3

Background
The Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is soliciting for a nationwide healthcare delivery system designed to provide a comprehensive model of medical care to both male and female federal adults in custody housed in Residential Re-entry Centers (RRC) and on Home Confinement (HC) to include those being monitored by the Federal Location Monitoring program under the United States Probation Office.

Work Details
The contract requires a nationwide healthcare delivery system to provide comprehensive medical care to incarcerated individuals housed in Residential Re-entry Centers and on Home Confinement, including those monitored by the Federal Location Monitoring program. The services should cover a wide spectrum from routine, specialty, urgent/emergent inpatient and outpatient facility and physician services, conforming to community standards and all local, state, and federal laws and regulations applicable to the delivery of health care. The contract will be administered and monitored by the Health Services Division (HSD) with collaboration of the RRMB, Field Acquisition Office (FAO), and the Residential Re-entry Contracting Section (RRCS). The BOP is seeking an organization with experience in negotiating with organizations or providers that can deliver and maintain a large network of physicians, hospitals, and ancillary services that meet or exceed the requirements as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

Period of Performance
The base period of performance is from the start date through 12 months. There are also two option periods: Option Year 1 is from 13 months through 24 months, and Option Year 2 is from 25 months through 36 months. Additionally, there is an option to extend the performance of services for up to six months.
