Background
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), established in 1930, is responsible for the custody and care of approximately 158,324 Federal adults in custody (AICs). The BOP's mission is to protect society by confining AICs in safe, humane, cost-efficient environments that provide opportunities for self-improvement.

This solicitation seeks to establish a contractual agreement for Comprehensive Medical Services at the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Lompoc, California, which includes FCI I and FCI II Lompoc facilities. The goal is to provide necessary professional and facility services for both inpatient admissions and outpatient encounters.

Work Details
The contractor will be required to provide Comprehensive Medical Services including:
1. Inpatient and outpatient facility services conforming to community standards and applicable laws.
2. Professional services that meet community standards and legal requirements.
3. Properly-priced invoices for services rendered.
4. Management of medical record information to promote continuity of care while adhering to privacy restrictions.
5. Maintenance of communication between the contract provider, contract facility, and BOP regarding contract services.

The contractor must ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations applicable to healthcare delivery. They are also responsible for submitting a quality control plan prior to commencing work.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a base year of 12 months from the effective date of award, with options for up to four additional years.
