Background
The Georgia National Cemetery is seeking a contractor to provide complete grounds maintenance services under the SED-922 contract. This contract includes a base year and four option years, focusing on maintaining the cemetery's aesthetic and operational standards.

The mission of the National Cemetery Administration (NCA) is to honor veterans and their families by providing a dignified resting place and maintaining the grounds to reflect the respect owed to those who served.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform various tasks including:
- Mowing all buffer areas within the cemetery grounds at least once a week during the growing season (mid-February through November), with potential for twice weekly mowing based on weather conditions.
- Ensuring no more than one-third of leafage is removed during any single mowing.
- Removing all grass clippings immediately after mowing.
- Maintaining walkways, flagpole bases, interment areas, and roads free of debris.
- Collecting and disposing of trash, debris, dead flowers, and fallen tree limbs daily.
- Ensuring that planting beds are weed-free and healthy.
- Mulching trees and shrubs quarterly.
- Performing sunken grave repairs within specified timeframes.
- Maintaining all equipment in compliance with OSHA standards. The contractor must also ensure that all operations are conducted without damage to cemetery fixtures or grounds.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will span from the date of award through one base year with four additional option years, contingent upon satisfactory performance.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at the Georgia National Cemetery located in Canton, Georgia.
