The contractor's role is to augment the NSF workforce without replacing the inherently governmental responsibilities of NSF Program Officers. The proposed modification will extend the current task order for up to six additional months while the competitive acquisition is finalized. This includes an initial three-month extension followed by three one-month options that can be exercised based on the status of the competitive acquisition.
