Commscope Utility Tunnel Camera Installation and Service

Background
NASA's National Suborbital Science and Synergy Center (NSSC) has a requirement for the installation and service of utility tunnel cameras at the NASA Langley Research Center.
The goal of this contract is to enhance monitoring of environmental conditions, detect incidents, and ensure worker safety within the utility tunnels.

Work Details
The contractor is responsible for the purchase and installation of sixteen (16) pan tilt zoom (PTZ) cameras in steam tunnels 2 & 3.
The specific tasks include:
1. Purchase equipment:
- Furnish sixteen (16) Axis Q6325-LE PTZ Cameras
- Furnish sixteen (16) wall or ceiling mounts for the cameras
- Furnish sixteen (16) CommScope 2-port POE Extenders, P/N # PFU-P-C-O-060-02
- Furnish thirty-two (32) Cisco GLC-LH-SMD Compatible 1000BASE-LX/LH SFP 1310nm 10km DOM Duplex LC/UPC SMF Optical Transceiver Modules
- Furnish 25,000 FT of CommScope Hybrid “powered” fiber optic cable, P/N# PFC-S12L12.
2. Install purchased equipment:
- Perform field verification of camera locations with Steam Plant personnel.
- Mount PTZ cameras and POE Extenders at specified locations.
- Install J-hooks and all-thread rod for fiber cable pathways.
- Install CommScope hybrid fiber optic cable from the server cabinet to camera locations.
- Perform fusion splices and terminations for fiber and power conductors at each camera location.
- Test and certify all fibers using a Fluke OTDR and provide test reports to NASA.
