Commercial and Public Property Debris Removal

The US Army Corps of Engineeres (USACE), Honolulu Distrtict (POH) received approval to award a sole source contract for Commercial and Public Property Debris Removal. The resultant contract was awarded to Hui Huliau Technology Services LLC (HHTS), Waianae, HI. The contract type is firm-fixed-priced, and the period of performance is 365 calendar days after award, and will support post-wildfire response efforts in Maui County, HI, due to the Lahaina and Kula Fires. On 8 August 2023, wildfires swept across Maui, HI. On 10 August 2023, the areas impacted by the fires were declared a Federal Disaster Area (FEMA-4724-DR-HI) and eligible for assistance through (FEMA). On 25 August 2023, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), FEMA Region 9 tasked the USACE, Pacific Ocean Division (POD) with Mission Assignment (MA) 4724DR-HI-COE-POD-09 to deploy the Debris Planning and Response Team (PRT) to coordinate and execute all necessary actions associated with debris clearance, removal, and disposal site management from public and private property debris removal.
