The Mission and Installation Contracting Command Fort Liberty (MICC FL) has a requirement for the XVIII Airborne Corps to procure Historian and Archivist service contract as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The purpose of this contract is to provide Command History documentation support to the XVIII Airborne Corps. Per AR 870-5 paragraph 4-10, the XVIII Airborne Corps maintains an archive of documents in several media pertaining to the XVIII Airborne Corps, its major subordinate activities, its major missions, and Fort Liberty, North Carolina. This archive enables the History Office to perform its other regulatory missions such as: documenting the activities and accomplishment of XVIII Airborne Corps; providing accurate historical research and analysis support to the Commanding General and his staff; and responding to historical inquiries.

Background
The Mission and Installation Contracting Command – Fort Liberty (MICC – FL) has a requirement for the XVIII Airborne Corps to procure Historian and Archivist service contract. The purpose of this contract is to provide Command History documentation support to the XVIII Airborne Corps. Per AR 870-5 paragraph 4-10, the XVIII Airborne Corps maintains an archive of documents in several media pertaining to the XVIII Airborne Corps, its major subordinate activities, its major missions, and Fort Liberty, North Carolina. This archive enables the History Office to perform its other regulatory missions such as documenting the activities and accomplishment of XVIII Airborne Corps; providing accurate historical research and analysis support to the Commanding General and his staff; and responding to historical inquiries.

Work Details
This is a non-personal services contract to provide Command Historian Support for the XVIII Airborne Corps Chief of Staff Office. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform the services defined in this PWS except for those items specified as Government furnished property and services. The contractor shall be responsible for integration of material into the archive, analyzing and supervising the movement of documents from their current location at the archival office to the headquarters for their processing, appraisal of the material for inclusion in the archive, supervision of the disposal of records not selected for inclusion, establishing the format for the archive of material for inclusion in the archive, preservation and maintenance of the records and supervision of the preparation of an archival catalogue and other materials to assist researchers in surveying the collection for its contents.

Period of Performance
The period of performance shall be for one base year of 12 months and one 12-month option year.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Corps Historian Office, and the Archive building, Fort Liberty, NC, and deploy in support of overseas operations.
