Combined Synopsis/ Solicitation Great Lakes National Cemetery Grounds Maintenance

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration is issuing this solicitation for Grounds Maintenance Services at the Great Lakes National Cemetery. The mission of the agency is to provide a dignified final resting place for veterans and their eligible family members, ensuring that the cemetery grounds are maintained with respect and professionalism.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that the grounds maintenance operations are performed in a manner that maintains healthy grass, trees, shrubs, and plants, while presenting a groomed and clean appearance.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary for Grounds Maintenance at the Cemetery. Specific tasks include: maintaining proper decorum and respect at the Cemetery; ensuring healthy growth of grass, trees, shrubs, and plants; performing regular mowing, trimming, and landscaping services; adhering to Cemetery Operational Standards; and implementing a Quality Control Plan.

The Contractor must also provide proof of experience in managing similar contracts and submit a mowing work plan for an ideal week.

Period of Performance
The period of performance will be one (1) base year with four (4) one-year options from the date of award.
