Description

Alion Science and Technology Corporation (Burr Ridge, Illinois); Applied Research Associates (Albuquerque, New Mexico); Engility Corporation (Chantilly, Virginia); Exelis Incorporated (Herndon, Virginia); Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (Herndon, Virginia); Raytheon Company (Dulles, Virginia); and Leidos, Incorporated (McLean Virginia) were awarded a multiple award contract (MAC) Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) with a face value of $4 billion (ceiling) for all contracts, including options, entitled Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction Research and Technology Development IDIQ.
This IDIQ provides for delivery / task orders to procure research and development, providing scientific and technological solutions to meet DoD's non-proliferation, counterproliferation, and consequence management objectives. Work will be performed at contractor facilities as well as at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, with an expected completion date of 3 December 2018 (base period) followed by a 5-year option period that, if exercised, will end 3 December 2023 .
The contract has a $100,000 minimum guarantee to each awardee. This contract was a competitive acquisition and eight offers were received. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Research and Development Contracting Office DTRA/J4CRB (Fort Belvoir, Virginia) is the contracting activity. The ID/IQ contract numbers are: HDTRA1-14-D-0002 (Alion), HDTRA1-14-D-0003 (Applied Research Associates), HDTRA1-14-D-0004 (Engility), HDTRA1-14-D-0005 (Exelis), HDTRA1-14-D-0006 (Northrop Grumman), HDTRA1-14-D-0007 (Raytheon), and HDTRA1-14-D-0008 (Leidos, formerly Science Applications International Corporation).
